Joint ownership does not give full membership rights but allows access too many of the same account benefits a member enjoys. Access the account to make a deposit and withdraw funds is few of the benefits. The primary member grants permission for you to access to his or her account by adding you as a joint member. A joint owner is not eligible to establish a loan from the credit union; they must establish a separate individual account.
